• A paramotor has two parts: Glider and engine. Paraglider, which is made up of fabric and yarn and has no fixed structure, is a sportive aviation vehicle within the very light aircraft class. The pilot carries the engine on his/her back thus he/she can take off from a flat land like airplanes.

  • No runway is needed for taking off and landing. A flat and open land, big enough as a basketball field is sufficient for take-off and landing. In the emergency cases such as engine failures or stops, the parachute continues to glide and lands normally.

  • Given the fact that it is slow, it can fly at very low altitude and attracts the attention of persons with its image, this aviation vehicle is mostly used during the demonstrations organised for national holidays, independence days and festivals. At the demo flights, in accordance with the meaning and importance of the events, Turkish flag, posters of Atatürk and other written flags/materials are also presented. Besides, synchronised maneuvers are exhibited during demonstration flights with more than one paramotor.

  • In order to increase the community’s interest against sportive aviation and to promote it, Demonstration Team of the Turkish Aeronautical Association have been flying free of charge at the different regions of Turkey since 2005 in accordance with the demands of public and private institutions. Additionally, during those flights, aerial photo shootings of natural beauties and touristic places have been materialised to create a Turkey photo album.
