Aviator Vecihi Hürkuş, aeroplane engineer, pilot, holder of three War of Independence Hero medals with three letters of appreciation by the Turkish National Assemble, the first Turkish military jets and civil plane designer and producer, the first founder of civil school of pilots and a plane factory, the founder of Hürkuş Airlines, which was the first civil airways, with 102 different planes and 30,000 hours of flight, is now observing  us from his peaceful peak  location in the National Aviation.

Consequently, the Aviator Vecihi Hürkuş Museum Society was founded to introduce his ideas, to attract public attention to aviation, and in collaboration with other foundations to form archives and share them with the public, study the knowledge and  documents and exhibit them. When the conditions get ripe, the aim is to found a museum as the charity establishment and make it durable.
