The Turkish Aeronautical Association was established on 16 February 1925, 16 months after the declaration of the Republic, under the command of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as the "Turkish Airplane Association". Among the purposes of the association is; to establish the aviation industry in Turkey; to explain the military, economic, social and political significance of aviation; to improve the military, civil, sportive and touristic aviation and to prepare the necessary tools for these; to educate the staff and to create a Turkish Youth who is flying.

In SHG 2015, Glider show of Turkish Aeronautical Association magnified the spectators with their elegant dance and artistic manoeuvres in the sky. THK Glider Group are going to participate in Sivrihisar Airshows this year as well.
